In 2002, Lisa graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Finance then went on to be an investment banking analyst for Bear Stearns.  It was after she became a mom that she discovered the need for sun protective basics to wear in an around the water.  She started Cover (coverswim.com) and embarked upon the journey of fashion entrepreneurship.  She learned firsthand how to manufacture and market a new clothing concept and brand.

The road to learning how to start and build a successful fashion brand was long and arduous.  Lisa had the idea for cover in 2006.  It took about 18 months to be ready to launch.  There are specific strategies Lisa has implemented that have led to successful marketing, branding and distribution over the years.  Cover has been featured in every major fashion publication and is carried by  the world's best retailers.  Lisa has built relationships and contacts over her 14 years in the business that translate into a rock-solid supply chain.  Production was a massive struggle for her for years before helping start her current supply chain.  She has the experience and contacts to skip the absolute misery that can be production.  She has navigated through the massive shifts from wholesale to direct to consumer, from a recession to economic prosperity, from print to online.

Lisa lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband, three kids and two labradoodles.  The kids are ages 11, 14 and 16 and keep her busy outside of work.  Lisa loves traveling with her family and friends.  She has met close friends through the fashion industry and loves collaborating.  Cooking and the arts are other interests.
